Writing and Storytelling
I started college with plans to be an actuary and graduated with a math major. But my love for the written word has driven my professional life. I’ve written articles, web content, speeches, brochures, blog posts, annual reports and more. I’ve transformed an organization’s dry, programmatic language into vivid and moving stories that depict life-changing mental health care.
Project Management
As a communications manager, I honed my project management skills and learned how to keep projects on time. I’ve planned and produced fundraising events, managed publications of reports and ensured a direct mail newsletter was produced on schedule for 10 years.
Data and Digital
While I’m not a coder, I’ve been known to find and fix HTML glitches. I’ve worked with Salesforce, WordPress, Drupal and Google Analytics. And I’m not afraid of segmenting email lists. My experience also includes writing Google ads, managing social media pages and producing short videos.
Marketing
My experience includes planning and implementing campaigns, creating marketing collateral and branding an organization with both key messaging and visual identity. I’ve written email welcome series and conducted A/B testing on messaging.
